WOW, I attended The Photo Cookout Photography Conference 2021, held in Kissimmee FL. I wanted to share my experience attending the fourth annual Conference. I had an absolutely amazing time with all the “Cousins”. This term of endearment is used often in the black community to say we are like family..
The Photo Cookout was founded by Dr. Tomayia Colvin The Photo Cookout Link. Dr. Tomayia Colvin created this space to give black entrepreneurs an opportunity to speak on platforms that other platforms didn’t always provide. She created this space for the community.

We came together for a three day event full of education and opportunities to grow our photo/video businesses. There were fun times during our actual cookout with good food, friends and laughs. We attended workshops and photowalks and even enjoyed a day at Disney as a group. “That was amazing”. I learned so much about enhancing my client experience and taking it to the next level.
This conference was very inspiring seeing so many educators that look like me. I can’t wait for The Photo Cookout 2022 which will be held in Arizona. If you are a photographer/ videographer you should join us.
