I always recommend my couples to book an engagement photo session. This is a great time for us to connect and get to know each other. You will also see how I work and I will see how you are in front of the camera. We use the engagement photo time to practice for the big wedding day to make you both feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I will help you choose the perfect Detroit engagement photo location that best matches you as a couple. I also have a photography studio located in Southfield, MI in case you wanted indoor portraits. My goal is for you to already start celebrating this next chapter of your life. We will have lots of fun.

When is the best time to book your engagement pictures?

In the past, couples used to do their engagement portraits a year before the wedding, but with the times now, some couples are waiting closer to the wedding date. It really depends on what you need and when you need it. I recommend getting it done between 6-8 months before your wedding or as soon as you get engaged.

Do you offer engagement portraits by itself or for your wedding clients only?
I do offer engagement sessions as a stand alone photography service, but it is included for my wedding photo collections as well.

How many outfits should we wear for our engagement photos?
Many of my brides love sending me their outfits ahead of time so I can help them plan their engagement outfits. We also review outfits in accordance to location and style. I will help you every step of the way. I recommend wearing 2 different outfits, one more casual and one more dressier.

Tip. If you only want to wear one outfit, definitely pick the dressier one.

How long does the engagement photo session last?
Engagement photos typically last an hour. The best time of day for the session is either 9 am or 7pm in the summer and 9 am and 4pm in the winter.

Do you offer Save the Date Cards?
At this time we do not, but can certainly order prints and canvases from our online gallery.
